What changes

  • Application accepted by ANSSI at milestone J0, announced on 15 July 2024.
  • SecNumCloud 3.2 qualification targeted for summer 2025.
  • About thirty early adopters from December 2024.
  • Three data centers in the Paris region.

### Background On 15 July 2024, S3NS announces that ANSSI has accepted its **SecNumCloud** qualification application, at the first milestone (J0) of the process. S3NS, created in October 2021 by Thales with Google Cloud technology, develops the **PREMI3NS** offer, a "trusted cloud" administered by S3NS and hosted in France. ### Key facts - SecNumCloud 3.2 qualification targeted for summer 2025. - Rollout to early adopters from December 2024: about thirty, including Matmut, AGPM, Club Med, Thales, Birdz (a Veolia subsidiary) and B Connect. - Three data centers in the Paris region, with physical and logical controls. - Google Cloud updates are reviewed continuously before going into production. - Announced use cases: lift-and-shift, application modernization, cloud-native development and first AI uses. - The SecNumCloud qualification process has four milestones (J0 to J3); acceptance of the application corresponds to the first. - S3NS says it has kept its commitments since its creation in October 2021, according to CEO Cyprien Falque. ### Why it matters S3NS illustrates the second French model of trusted cloud: hyperscaler technology licensed to an operator under European control, competing with the "fully European cloud" route of OVHcloud or Outscale. For customers the issue is timing: the qualification targeted for summer 2025 was only obtained in December 2025. For a public-sector CIO or an operator of vital importance, this first milestone makes the timeline of a Google Cloud-based offer legible, before any qualification. ### Takeaway The application opens a seventeen-month path that ends with the December 2025 qualification.
