What changes
- Qualification SecNumCloud 3.2 announced on 31 March 2025.
- More than 360 technical, organizational and legal requirements.
- First users: AIFE, Capgemini and DEEP (POST Luxembourg).
- Public cloud application planned for May 2025, target of end 2025.
### What changes On 31 March 2025, OVHcloud announces that its **Bare Metal Pod** platform has obtained **SecNumCloud 3.2** qualification from ANSSI. Unveiled in September 2024 while still undergoing qualification, the platform lets an organization create and manage its own cloud on dedicated servers, with built-in encryption, key management, network isolation and access control. ### Key facts - Qualification based on more than 360 technical, organizational and legal requirements. - Intended use: host sensitive State data, patents and critical information for AI applications. - First users cited: AIFE (the public invoicing portal), Capgemini and DEEP, a subsidiary of POST Luxembourg that runs a sovereign cloud in Luxembourg. - OVHcloud announces its intention to file an application (D0) in May 2025 to qualify its public cloud services, with a target of end 2025. - The platform eases compliance with other frameworks, including PCI DSS, DORA and the military directive 48. - Bare Metal Pod had been unveiled on 19 September 2024; the qualification therefore arrives about six and a half months later. ### Why it matters For public buyers and sensitive operators, this is a qualified option run by an actor with European capital and technology, with no dependence on a US vendor. It also shows the cost of the path: OVHcloud's public cloud, more used by developers, had to wait until September 2026 to be qualified. ### Takeaway In March 2025 OVHcloud obtains a second SecNumCloud qualification, on a turnkey private cloud.
