What changes
- SecNumCloud qualification of SNC Cloud Platform announced on 1 September 2026.
- OVHcloud's third qualified offer, after Hosted Private Cloud and Bare Metal Pod.
- Beta in Roubaix, then Gravelines, Strasbourg, Italy, Germany and Poland.
- Pay-as-you-go billing, open APIs and open source standards.
### Background On 1 September 2026, OVHcloud announces that its **SNC Cloud Platform**, its pay-as-you-go public cloud, has obtained **SecNumCloud** qualification from ANSSI. It is OVHcloud's third qualified offer, after Hosted Private Cloud and Bare Metal Pod. In March 2025 OVHcloud had said it aimed for a qualified public cloud by the end of 2025; the qualification arrives eight months later. ### Key facts - Content: instances on shared hosts in three profiles, dedicated-host instances, Metal instances from the server catalog, block storage and object storage. - Rollout: beta in the Roubaix region; general availability planned in Gravelines and Strasbourg, then extension to Italy, Germany and Poland according to national frameworks. - Pay-as-you-go billing, open APIs and open source standards; the list of covered services and the general availability date will follow ANSSI's publication. - Targets: beyond government, healthcare, finance, industry and energy. - OVHcloud claims 46 data centers and 1.7 million customers in more than 140 countries; Octave Klaba says AI is increasing demand for trusted infrastructure (translation of his wording). ### Why it matters Until now, OVHcloud's qualification covered products close to private cloud. Extending it to a pay-as-you-go public cloud brings the developer experience closer to that of a hyperscaler, which matters for cloud-native projects subject to the SecNumCloud obligation of the April 2026 SREN decree. To watch: the catalog of services actually covered and the price compared with US offers. ### Takeaway In September 2026 OVHcloud gets a SecNumCloud-qualified public cloud, eight months behind its target.
