Doosan Robotics launches the PRIME SERIES, its longest-reach cobots: the P3020 carries 30 kg at 2,030 mm and palletizes from the floor up to 2 m high without a lift.

What changes

  • The P3020 carries up to 30 kg with a 2,030 mm reach.
  • Palletizes from floor to 2 m, about 10 layers of boxes without a lift.
  • 5-axis architecture with built-in gravity compensation.
  • Highest safety rating: PL e and Category 4.

### Background On May 7, 2024, at Automate, South Korea's Doosan Robotics introduced the PRIME SERIES, its longest-reach cobots. The first model, the P3020, is designed for palletizing: it stacks boxes from the floor up to 2 m high without a lift column, a common limitation of conventional cobots. ### Specifications (P3020) - Payload up to 30 kg; 2,030 mm reach, the longest in Doosan's range. - Palletizes from floor to 2 m, about 10 layers of 8-inch boxes, without a lift. - 5-degree-of-freedom architecture (4th axis removed), free of wrist singularities; 6th axis at 360° per second. - Built-in gravity compensation to reduce power consumption. - PL e and Category 4 safety. - Complemented by Dart-Suite (module development environment) and Otto Matic (vision and deep learning palletizing for random-sized boxes). ### Why it matters Palletizing is one of the most requested cobot applications. By removing the lift, Doosan cuts the cost and footprint of end-of-line cells. ### Key takeaways A cobot range specialized in heavy handling and end-of-line work, designed for palletizing without extra equipment.
