### Background On August 18, 2024, during an online launch, Peng Zhihui, AgiBot co-founder and a former Huawei "Genius Youth" recruit, unveiled five robots. AgiBot, founded in Shanghai in February 2023, thus replaced its August 2023 Raise A1 prototype with a full lineup. ### Specifications | Model | Role | |---|---| | Yuanzheng A2 | flagship biped, 1.75 m, 55 kg | | A2-W | service variant | | A2-Max | enhanced A2 | | Lingxi X1 and X1-W | Lingxi-series service robots | The A2 perceives text, audio and images, and performs fine tasks such as threading a needle. AgiBot planned deliveries from October and 300 units by year-end. ### Why it matters Peng Zhihui openly compared AgiBot with Tesla: "We don't think the gap between the two sides will be big", adding that AgiBot's commercialization and cost-control ability is "better than that of Tesla". The startup, backed by Hillhouse and BYD among others, became one of China's leading humanoid makers. ### Key takeaways This launch founded AgiBot's lineup: the Yuanzheng (A) and Lingxi (X) series were renewed in 2025 and 2026 and passed several thousand units delivered.
