### What changes In late November 2024, DEEP Robotics, Unitree's main Chinese quadruped rival, launched Lynx, an all-terrain robot that replaces feet with motorized wheels. Launch videos showed it racing down slopes, crossing rocks and performing stunts, which made the model widely known. ### Specifications - Wheeled-legged architecture combining "the wheels' speed with the legs' agility", according to the manufacturer. - Climbs 22 cm steps and 45° slopes. - IP54 protection; indoor and outdoor operation in all weather. - 3 hours of runtime; two hot-swappable batteries. - High-performance image and video transmission. - Announced price: $17,999. ### Why it matters Lynx brings DEEP Robotics into affordable wheeled-legged robots, against Unitree's B2-W and Go2-W. The range was extended to industrial versions with the Lynx M20 (2025) and the Lynx M20S (2026). ### Key takeaways The first model of a family that became the core of DEEP Robotics' offering for inspection and work in harsh environments.
