### What changes On March 11, 2025, AgiBot (Zhiyuan, Shanghai) unveiled the Lingxi X2 in a video posted by co-founder Peng Zhihui. It is a compact bipedal humanoid from the Lingxi series, launched in August 2024 with the X1. While the Yuanzheng series (A2) targets industry, the Lingxi X2 focuses on agility and interaction with people. ### Specifications | Item | Announced value | |---|---| | Degrees of freedom | 28 | | Weight | 33.8 kg | | Locomotion | walking, running, turning, dancing | | Demonstrations | bicycle, scooter, balance board, reading medication instructions | | Interaction | multimodal model based on a vision-language model (VLM), response announced within milliseconds | | In-house components | "cerebellum" controller, domain controller, power management, joint modules | AgiBot did not disclose a price at launch. A "Youth Edition" later went on sale on JD.com for under $14,000 according to Mike Kalil. ### Why it matters The X2 shows that a small humanoid can handle very demanding dynamic balance tasks, such as riding a bicycle. AgiBot presents it as an "emotional" robot able to read facial expressions and tone of voice to adapt its behavior. ### Key takeaways The Lingxi X2 extends AgiBot's range toward service, reception and education uses. It was later offered as the X2 EDU, a teaching platform presented at WAIC in July 2026.
