At Computex 2025, NVIDIA announces Isaac GR00T N1.5, the first update to its open humanoid model, and the GR00T-Dreams blueprint, which produced its training data in 36 hours.

What changes

  • GR00T N1.5 is the first update to the open GR00T N1 model.
  • GR00T-Dreams generates entirely new motion data with Cosmos.
  • 36 hours of generation instead of nearly three months of manual collection, per NVIDIA.
  • Agility, Boston Dynamics, Foxconn, NEURA and XPENG adopt Isaac.

### Background On May 18, 2025 (press release issued ahead of the Computex keynote in Taipei), NVIDIA announced Isaac GR00T N1.5, the first update to its open foundation model for humanoid reasoning and skills, together with the Isaac GR00T-Dreams blueprint. ### Specifications - **GR00T-Dreams**: a blueprint using Cosmos to generate entirely new synthetic motion data, whereas GR00T-Mimic (introduced in March) augmented existing data. It extracts "action tokens" used to teach robots new tasks. - **GR00T N1.5**: developed by NVIDIA Research using GR00T-Dreams in 36 hours, versus nearly three months of manual data collection according to NVIDIA. The model adapts better to new environments and workflows. - **Size**: about 3 billion parameters for the model released on Hugging Face (GR00T-N1.5-3B). - **Ecosystem**: Agility Robotics, Boston Dynamics, Foxconn, Lightwheel, NEURA Robotics and XPENG Robotics are among the Isaac adopters cited. ### Why it matters World-model data generation begins replacing part of slow, costly teleoperation. NVIDIA shows the full loop: Cosmos produces the data, GR00T learns. ### Key takeaway Two months after N1, NVIDIA confirmed a fast release cadence for GR00T; N1.6 followed at year end.
