Figure AI unveils Figure 03, a third generation fully redesigned for the home and mass production: new vision, tactile hands, wireless charging and a BotQ plant sized for 12,000 robots a year.
What changes
- Designed from the start for the home, with soft coverings and improved battery safety.
- Redesigned vision: double the frame rate, a quarter of the latency, 60% wider field of view per camera.
- Fingertip tactile sensors that detect pressures as small as 3 grams.
- Wireless inductive charging (2 kW) and 10 Gbps data offload.
- Built for mass production: the BotQ plant is initially sized for 12,000 robots a year.
### What changes On 9 October 2025, three weeks after raising more than $1 billion, Figure AI unveiled Figure 03. The company calls it "a truly general-purpose robot", designed for the home, commercial use and large-scale manufacturing alike. The redesign covers three areas: sensors and hands, built for its Helix AI model; home safety (soft coverings, battery safety); and manufacturability, with a design suited to mass production at the BotQ plant. ### Specifications announced by Figure | Item | Detail | |---|---| | Vision | 2× frame rate, ¼ latency, +60% field of view per camera | | Touch | Fingertip sensors detecting 3 g | | Charging | Wireless, inductive, 2 kW | | Data | 10 Gbps offload (mmWave) | | Mass | 9% less than Figure 02 | | Production | BotQ: up to 12,000 units a year initially | Dimensions, weight and degree-of-freedom counts published by third-party sources contradict each other: they are not included here. ### Why it matters Figure 03 marks the shift from demonstration robot to a product that can be industrialised. In late April 2026, Figure reported more than 350 units delivered from BotQ and a pace of one robot per hour. ### Key takeaway In late June 2026, Figure 03 took over from Figure 02 at BMW's Spartanburg plant.
