### What changes In late February 2026, Unitree unveiled the As2, a compact, fast quadruped that fills the gap in its range between the Go2 and the A2. Trade press covered it around February 24, 2026 with agility videos (running, tennis); the official spec sheet lists four versions: AIR, PRO, X and EDU. ### Specifications - Weight about 20 kg including battery. - Speed: 0 to 3.7 m/s standard walking, over 5 m/s running. - Payload: up to 65 kg standing (X and EDU versions), about 15 kg continuous walking. - 648 Wh battery: over 4 hours and 13+ km unloaded; over 2.5 hours with 15 kg. - Perception: Unitree L2 ultra-wide LiDAR, HD camera; GPS and 4G on PRO, X and EDU; Wi-Fi 6. - 25 cm steps, slopes of about 40°, IP54 protection. ### Why it matters With the As2, Unitree pushes the performance-to-weight ratio of its quadrupeds and targets patrol and light inspection uses, where speed and endurance matter more than payload. ### Key takeaways Approximate date (first press coverage on February 24, 2026). No public price: versions are sold on quotation.
