What changes

  • 1.70 m, 66 kg and 66 degrees of freedom, 33 of them in the two hands.
  • Four months of trials in Xiaomi's car factory before its public debut.
  • Driven by an embodied model built on Xiaomi-Robotics-0, with no preset script according to Xiaomi.
  • Still a prototype; later shown in Europe at IFA Berlin.

### What changes On August 19, 2026, at the opening of the World Robot Conference (WRC) in Beijing, Xiaomi presented its next-generation humanoid. It keeps the CyberOne code name used by the brand's first humanoid in 2022, and the Chinese press nicknames it "Tieda". Before this debut, it spent four months in real-world conditions in Xiaomi's car factory. ### Specifications | Item | Announced value | |---|---| | Height | about 1.70 m | | Weight | 66 kg | | Degrees of freedom | 66, 33 of them in the two hands | | Model | Xiaomi-Robotics-0 general VLA base, multimodal perception, reinforcement learning | | Status | R&D prototype | On the stand, the robot played florist: it picked up a bouquet, added scented sheets, handed it to the audience, then shook hands or made a heart shape with its fingers. According to Xiaomi, these gestures come from autonomous decisions by the model, not from a script. ### Why it matters Xiaomi reverses the usual approach: validate the robot on a real production line before showing it. According to founder Lei Jun, it already works autonomously on stations such as loading self-tapping nuts or handling material boxes, with improving mean time between failures and success rates. Lei Jun expects a large number of humanoids in Xiaomi factories within five years. ### Key takeaways A build modeled on a human operator and a highly articulated hand point to a clear target: the factory, starting with Xiaomi's own. No commercial launch has been announced.
